Desmond Mac Mahon is a painter who currently lives and works in London. Trained at Central St Martins in Fine Art Painting, he graduated with a B.A. Hons (1st).
Having worked as a portrait painter and copyist for a number of West End galleries, Desmond also has experience as a painter for film and television. He has worked on numerous productions, in a variety of media, and he is also a member of the British Film Designers Guild.
Through his experience of making transcriptions of historical paintings, Desmond has a thorough understanding of the use of the materials and methods of traditional painting. He also has an extensive knowledge of art history and has given lectures on paintings at galleries and museums in London.
Desmond is also available for portrait commissions and works from his studio in Crystal Palace, London.
